Well things have been moving along lately.

Little man is 15 weeks and growing! He is cooing away and just the light of my life. We've been having quite the time getting him back into the bassinet and out of our bed. I wanted to do it before he really has major issues and wants to be with us permanently at night. So far, we are hanging in there. Another problem for him is that he loves sleeping on his tummy, but due to SIDS prevention, it just isn't safe. And I cannot stare at him every millisecond, much as I'd love to. He sleeps less on his back, but we are getting him used to that again... The first few nights involved major screaming and crying....then finally I was able to calm down...lol...just kidding. Yep, my boy has definitely inherited my temper. But now he is getting used to it and majority of the time is now back sleeping where he should and not putting up such a fuss. He is still quite the handful, but I wouldn't trade him for anything. His latest milestone is rolling from his tummy to his back. It was so amazing and I was so happy to have witnessed it! So far, he has done it 3 times.

My husband is still loving his job and leaves for 3 weeks in December to finally reunite with his family after 10 whole years!!! How wonderful for him... I only wish I could witness the happy reunion. Our 2 Year Anniversary was this last Saturday and I still can't believe that two stubborn crazy individuals have survived 2 years together without any legal intervention....haha!

Damn, this year went by fast!!! I am getting old!! Four more months and my ass will be 29. What the hell.

Book Review

Courtesy of Nydia, I was mailed a funny funny funny book to read: My Horizontal Life: A Collection of One-Night Stands by Chelsea Handler. It was basically like Sex in the City...only better. Mostly because her stories were true and she is not only a great comedian, but a hilarious writer. I became a fan of hers a couple years ago, when she first started appearing on tv, and even forced my hubby to watch her. She has the same smart ass witty humor that I love and appreciate...lol Now, I'll admit, her book is no "Little Women".......but anyone who likes blunt and racy humor and needs a good laugh is sure to love this as much as I did!!

Politically Spent

I am glad to have witnessed and been a part of such a historical event...but on the flip side...I'm so ready for all the election hubbub to be over! I am excited because this was my first year to vote. I could have voted before, but didn't feel as though I was qualified to make a decision over elections I didn't follow. This time around I learned 'Politics 101' courtesy of my hubby and actually got into it. So at 7am on election day, I put Christopher in my Snugli carrier, and we stood in line for a lil over an hour. I was just praying that he wouldn't cry and that the elderly couple in front of me would eventually stop harassing him. Thankfully, we made it! What a great feeling and a great day. I think for a lot of people, Obama's got a lot of proving to do, but following our current president, I don't think it'll take much to look good...lol

My definition of bliss is living life to the fullest. I am always on a journey to grow and change. I am a woman, mother, wife, sister, and friend. I have always kept a diary or journal.....and now I keep a blog. I love to read, write, and express myself. This blog will contain my life experiences and stances. It will contain my rants and raves. It will contain my joys and my heartaches. And last but not least, it will contain ME.
