BABYBJÖRN Potty Chair
It is a funny thing when you're overly excited about a potty chair.
I have been researching (as always) reviews for great potty chairs. I never knew how many different options there were! There were wooden ones that looked like actual chairs with little potty cups in the middle, there were slot machine potty chairs, ones that sing and hold toilet paper, and then your basic simple potty chairs. My husband didn't care which one he had (big shocker) and I just wanted one that was simple and just got the job done. Though there were plenty to choose from with great reviews, I figure that this is one of those things where there is no one answer. What will work for that particular child best, and what works for them and their parent will be the answer. I finally settled on the Spring Green BabyBjörn Potty Chair. It has a high splash guard (great for boys), has an ergonomic design, and is simply a potty chair. I am going to start sitting him on it before bath time and just slowly get him acquainted with sitting on it for awhile. Depending on how he does over time, I will see when it seems like he is ready to train full force. I think it'd be awesome to get him potty trained before he goes to daycare, but he is not yet 1 1/2 so I will be patient with the whole thing.
My plan is to get him used to going, then hopefully not long after that I might buy that BabyBjörn seat attachment that just sits on the regular toilet. I thought about just getting that in the first place after my brother mentioned them, because it would knock two birds out with one stone, but he's not the greatest at stepping up things, so I didn't think the step stool and seat lid would be the best option for right now.
I will have to update soon after it arrives and post on how this pre-potty training thing is going for us!
